In a class of its own, the Obsidian 9 is the nearly half its size in its short configuration, giving you two suppressors with one tax stamp. With additional versatility in mind the Obsidian 9 is fully compatible with suppressor sights for seamless use on a pistol or carbine. Obsidian 9 baffles are machined from 17-4 Stainless steel barstock, with three indexing tabs for proper alignment. With serviceability in min the Obsidian baffles create a gas seal that virtually eliminates carbon build up between the baffles and tube. The Obsidian 9 uses a non-slatted design creating a full circumference gas seal. The drastically lowers gas blowback for a more enjoyable shooting experience. The booster system has been completely redesigned and now uses the industry's unofficial standard piston. The redesign also includes the ability to swap pistons without the use of tools thanks to a new rear cap. The front cap has been redesigned to allow for better engagement with the takedown tool to make the service process easier. The Sidewinder M2 is user serviceable which allows both the baffle and Nielsen device to be removed for cleaning and maintenance using the provided disassembly tool. The Nielsen piston (device) enables flawless semi-automatic operation on all relevant host pistols. The Sidewinder M2 has 12 index points that allow you to adjust point of impact while remaining attached to the host firearm. The average dry sound signature of the Sidewinder M2 .45 when testing to Mil-Std 1474D is 133 dB dry on a Glock G21 using 230gr. FMJ ammo. Shooting the suppressor "wet" will net even quieter results.
